Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 24, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Amazon Product Scanner (the “Extension”) processes information when you use the Extension. The Extension is provided by the operator of muoivy.com (“we”, “us”, or “our”).
1. Scope of This Policy
This Privacy Policy applies only to the Amazon Product Scanner Chrome extension and the information processed through its features. It does not govern Amazon.com or any other third-party website or service.
2. Information the Extension Processes
The Extension processes only the information needed to provide its product-scanning, filtering, display, and export features.
- Amazon page information: the URL and page context of supported Amazon listing pages, used to determine whether a page can be scanned and to perform the scan.
- Amazon product information: product titles, product URLs, image URLs, prices, ratings, review counts, sales ranks, page positions, and similar listing data available on supported Amazon pages.
- Extension settings and local state: language preference, filters, scan jobs, scan progress, selected items, and product results needed to restore the Extension interface between browser sessions.
The Extension does not request or intentionally process sensitive personal information such as passwords, payment card details, financial account information, health information, government identification numbers, or precise location data.
3. How We Use Information
The information processed by the Extension is used only to:
- scan supported Amazon listing pages at the user’s request;
- retrieve and display product information;
- support pagination and product-result loading;
- filter, search, sort, and select product results;
- save Extension preferences and scan state locally;
- export selected or filtered product data to an Excel file.
We do not use Extension data for advertising, profiling, credit decisions, lending, surveillance, or any purpose unrelated to the Extension’s product-scanning functionality.
4. Local Storage
The Extension uses Chrome’s local storage mechanisms to save settings and operational state on your device. This may include language preference, scan configuration, filters, scan job status, and product results.
This locally stored information is not transmitted to developer-controlled servers. You can remove locally stored Extension data by deleting scan jobs in the Extension, clearing the Extension’s storage in Chrome, or uninstalling the Extension.
5. Amazon Website Access
The Extension requests access to https://www.amazon.com/* so that it can read supported Amazon listing pages and make requests to Amazon that are necessary for product scanning, pagination, and retrieving listing information.
This access is limited to Amazon.com and is used only for the Extension’s product-scanning features. The Extension does not monitor or access unrelated websites.
6. Browsing Activity
The Extension may access the URL of the current Amazon tab and supported Amazon page content in order to determine what page is being scanned and to retrieve product information. The Extension does not collect or maintain a general history of websites you visit outside Amazon.com.
7. Data Sharing and Sale
We do not sell, rent, trade, or transfer user data to third parties. We do not send scanned product data, browsing activity, or Extension settings to developer-controlled servers.
Data is processed locally in the browser and, when required for scanning, exchanged directly with Amazon.com as part of the user-requested interaction with Amazon pages.
8. Remote Code
The Extension does not download or execute remote JavaScript or WebAssembly code. Executable Extension code is packaged with the Extension distributed through the Chrome Web Store. Network requests to Amazon are used to retrieve page and product data, not executable code.
9. Excel Export
When you export product data, the Excel file is generated by the Extension on your device. The exported file is saved to a location selected or handled by your browser. We do not receive a copy of the exported file.
10. Data Retention
We do not retain Extension data on developer-controlled servers. Data stored locally by the Extension remains on your device until you delete it, clear Extension storage, or uninstall the Extension.
11. Security
We design the Extension to minimize data access and limit permissions to those needed for its features. However, no software or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your browser, device, and exported files.
12. Children’s Privacy
The Extension is not directed to children under 13 and is intended as a productivity and product-research tool. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
13. Third-Party Websites
The Extension interacts with Amazon.com. Amazon’s own privacy practices and terms are governed by Amazon’s policies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content, or services of third-party websites.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the Extension’s functionality, permissions, or data practices change. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will be revised when material changes are made.
